Former prison on Cejl street
The former prison on Cejl Street is a place with a troubled past and strong genius loci, ideal for unconventional cultural and social events.
- In the summer of 2018, work began on a unique cultural and community centre here.
- Brought back to life by the original project The Prison Lives, which covers numerous topics.
- A wide offer of cultural events (concerts, theatre performances, and film screenings) with discussions, workshops, and other events for various target groups.
- During the pandemic, an online broadcasting studio, Káznice LIVE (Prison LIVE), was established there in cooperation with filmmakers from GNOMON Production.
- In cooperation with the Tripitaka Association, TIC BRNO has been breathing life into the former prison.
